Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What is therapy, and how can it help me?

Therapy is a safe space to talk openly, process emotions, learn coping tools, and explore the root of your stress, trauma, or life transitions. It helps you reconnect with yourself and create change from the inside out.

2. How do I know if I need therapy?

If you’ve ever said, “I’m tired but I don’t know why,” or “I just need someone to talk to who gets it,” therapy can help. You don’t need to have it all figured out — just be willing to start.

3. How do I book an appointment?

You can contact us directly for help.

4. Do you accept insurance or offer payment plans?

We accept select insurance providers and offer sliding scale or private pay options. We’re happy to talk through your financial needs to make care accessible.

5. What should I expect in the first session?

The first session is about getting to know you — no pressure, no judgment. We’ll talk about your goals, what brought you to therapy, and how we can support you moving forward.

6. Can I choose a therapist who understands my culture or background?

Yes. We are proud to offer affirming care from therapists who honor your lived experience. Let us know what you’re looking for  : identity, spirituality, language, etc. and we’ll do our best to match you.

7. How often will I need to come?

Most clients start with weekly or biweekly sessions. The frequency depends on your goals, schedule, and what feels right for you.

8. Is therapy confidential?

Yes. Your privacy is protected by law. What you share stays between you and your therapist, except in cases of safety concerns or as required by law.

9. What if I’ve tried therapy before and it didn’t work?

That’s okay. Healing isn’t one-size-fits-all. We’re here to try something new, listen differently, and offer a space that feels more aligned with who you are now.

10. Do you offer virtual sessions?

Yes. We offer HIPAA-compliant telehealth sessions so you can access care from anywhere in Texas or the states we serve.
