Damitra Smith, LCDC, LPC

Mrs. Smith, LCDC can offer a safe and non-judgmental space to explore your addiction, develop coping skills, and build a strong foundation for lasting recovery.

A Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) is a mental health professional who specializes in treating individuals who are struggling with addiction and substance use disorders. They work with clients to identify the root causes of their addiction, develop a personalized treatment plan, and provide ongoing support to help clients achieve and maintain sobriety.

 

LCDCs are trained to use evidence-based approaches to addiction treatment, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and relapse prevention techniques. They may also work with clients to address co-occurring mental health concerns, such as anxiety or depression, that may contribute to their substance use.

 

LCDCs are licensed by the state in which they practice and must meet specific educational and training requirements. They may work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, rehabilitation centers, community mental health clinics, and private practices.

Ebony Blue, LPC-Supervisor 

As a Black woman and LPC-Supervisor, Ebony Blue is a licensed professional counselor who has received additional training and experience to become a clinical supervisor. In this role, she provides clinical oversight and guidance to other counselors-in-training or newly licensed counselors. She also has a doctorate in Counselor Education that allows her to bring expert expertise to her role as Clinical Director of the Healing Spot, TX.

 

In addition to her supervisory role, she specialize in working with Black women on self-love and wellness journey.

 

Dr. Ebony Blue, understand the unique experiences and challenges faced by Black women, including but not limited to racism, sexism, and systemic oppression, and she uses a culturally sensitive and trauma-informed approach to therapy for her sisters.

 

Her goal is to help Black women explore and address the root causes of their mental health concerns, develop coping skills, and build a strong sense of self-love and self-worth. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques, such as mindfulness-based therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and interpersonal therapy, to support clients.
